About this Event
The Sunday scaries don't stand a chance against a lap full of Dachshunds.
Welcome to Dachshund Puppy Yoga by Yoga Kawa in Toronto. This is a one-hour class where beginner-friendly yoga and a small herd of long-and-low Dachshund puppies share the same room, and somehow it all works out beautifully.
These little dogs are built close to the ground and big on personality. Expect wiggly greetings, determined sniffing, and the occasional puppy who decides your mat is theirs now.
Here's how the hour breaks down:
- 35 minutes of easy, beginner-friendly yoga
- 20 minutes of connection and cuddle time
- 5 minutes of sharing circle
Why people keep coming back
Puppy yoga in Toronto does something a regular yoga class cannot. A puppy wanders over, settles against your leg, and your nervous system just... exhales. With Dachshunds, that moment tends to arrive fast. They are sociable, curious, and surprisingly good at finding the warmest spot on a yoga mat.
A note on Dachshund puppies
Dachshunds are famously bold for their size. They were originally bred to hunt, which means they are fearless, inquisitive, and have a lot of opinions. In a yoga setting, that translates to puppies who investigate everything, make friends quickly, and carry themselves with a confidence that is frankly impressive for something so small and long.
Kids 12+ and above
Children ages 12 and up are welcome to attend. Anyone under 18 must come with a parent or guardian who also participates and helps the child move gently and interact with the puppies with care.
Mats provided. No experience needed. Just show up, get low to the ground, and let the Dachshunds do the rest.
