The seventh edition of the Millennium City Sewa Mission emerges as a preemptive, tactical strike against the approaching winter. As October brings a sharp chill to the Gurugram nights, the streets become increasingly unforgiving for the voiceless and the vulnerable.
On the night of 10β11 October 2026, the Dashrath Putra Foundation (DPF) β Radhey Sewa β The Street Defenders mobilizes for an intensive, 8-hour overnight Sewa Drive. We invite citizens, professionals, youth leaders, and global observers to step out of their comfort zones and into the cold, demonstrating how structured grassroots compassion can architect national progress.
This is not just an event. This is a replicable model of nation-building through nocturnal Sewa.
βοΈ Philosophical Core: Service is Sovereignty
A nation is not transformed by policy aloneβbut by awakened citizens practicing Sewa as duty (Dharma). This overnight drive operationalizes devotion into structured societal intervention across our four strategic pillars, adapting to the changing season:
πΎ 1. Animal Sewa β Winterizing the Streets
With the drop in temperature, street animals face hypothermia and severe calorie deficits. This vertical transforms compassion into direct biological impact:
- Winter Bedding Deployment: Strategically placing jute sacks (boris) and warm bedding in safe, dry zones to protect stray dogs and cows from the cold asphalt.
- High-Calorie Midnight Feeding: Distributing warm, highly nutritious meals designed to provide the necessary thermal energy for street dogs and Gau Mata to survive the dropping temperatures.
- Emergency Medical Care & Deworming: On-the-spot administration of antibiotics, wound care, and seasonal immunity boosters for animals suffering from the changing weather.
ποΈ 2. Sanatan Sewa β Preserving Sacred Continuity
Civilization survives through the preservation of its sacred spaces and those who guard them.
- Winter Relief for Sadhus: Distributing warm shawls and thermal wear to temple caretakers and Sadhu-Sants who reside in open or semi-open ashram spaces.
- Swachh Mandir Abhiyan (Night Shift): Cleaning and maintaining the outer peripheries of local temples to ensure pristine conditions for morning devotees.
- Digital Heritage Mapping: Continuing our awareness initiatives under the 51 Shaktipeeth Mission and 12 Jyotirlinga Mission.
π€ 3. Human Sewa β Strengthening Social Fabric
A resilient Bharat demands that no citizen is left to freeze on the streets.
- Blanket & Warmth Drive: Aggressive identification and distribution of high-quality blankets to the homeless and those sleeping on pavements.
- Midnight Nutrition: Serving hot tea and fresh, warm meals to night-shift workers, rickshaw pullers, and underserved pockets.
- Digital Literacy Interventions: Conducting baseline awareness modules during our stops to bridge the technological divide for inclusive growth.
πΏ 4. Nature Sewa β Restoring Ecological Balance
- Autumn Debris & Plastic Cleanup: Clearing dry leaves and plastic waste from drainage zones and street corners to prevent toxic burning during the winter smog season.
- Public Engagement: Promoting sustainable waste management practices to protect our local ecosystem as winter approaches.
π€² Two Ways to Participate: Tan & Dhan
Every single citizen has the opportunity to earn the blessings of this holy mission. Choose your mode of action:
- Option A: Become a Ground Warrior (Physical Sewa): Step onto the cold asphalt and lead from the front. Experience the profound fulfillment of an all-night rescue and relief operation. (Note: To maintain tight operational coordination, the specific route map and team assignments will be shared exclusively after booking your spot.)
- Option B: Become a Sewa Backer (Financial Contribution): If you cannot join the overnight drive physically, participate fully financially. While booking your ticket, contribute as per your Shraddha. Every rupee goes directly toward purchasing thick blankets, jute sacks, medical kits, and warm food.
