About the book:
No one is worried about Lena. But they should be.
Stuck inside her luxury apartment, she's been gorging herself day and night, possessed by a relentlessly growing appetite. Milk, bread. Expired sushi. Cat food.
Her doctor doesn't believe her, tells her to avoid carbohydrates and get her eight hours. She's perfectly ordinary.
Enter Joan, a glamorous actress with everything Lena has been hungering for: privilege, beauty, a glittering future. When Joan moves in upstairs, Lena is determined for them to be the best of friends.
But as her hunger develops in horrifying ways, Lena's life soon begins to unravel, and she must resort to extremes to ensure she never goes hungry again.
