Deck the Halls: Make Your Own Jingle Bells
Deck the halls with something handmade! In this festive handbuilding class, you'll create your own ceramic jingle bells, complete with custom shapes, textures, and details.
Mel will guide you through the process of building hollow clay bells that actually ring! You'll learn how to shape and assemble your bells, add decorative details, and make each one your own. Keep things simple and traditional, or experiment with playful shapes and patterns.
Whether you're making ornaments for your tree, decorations for your home, or a few handmade gifts, these little bells are a fun way to spend some time with clay during the holiday season.
After class, we'll glaze and fire your bells. Finished pieces will be ready for pickup in approximately 2–4 weeks.

Accessing the Studio
Erie ClaySpace is located on the third floor of the PACA building at 1505 State St., Erie, PA 16501.
The front doors to the building are locked. When you arrive, call (814) 520-5089, and your instructor will buzz you in.
Elevator Access: If you need to use the elevator, please let us know ahead of time at [email protected] so we can arrange assistance. Our elevator is manually operated and cannot be called with a button.
Class Policies
Classes require a minimum of 5 students to run. If Erie ClaySpace cancels a class, you'll have the option to transfer to a similar class or receive a full refund.
Full refunds are available when cancellations are requested at least 48 hours before the class.

👶 Age Limit?
Must be 12+ to join. No alcohol for anyone under 21.
🏺 Do I Need Experience?
No experience needed! Your instructor will guide you through the process, so beginners are welcome.
🥂 What Should I Bring?
Feel free to bring snacks and drinks, along with any cups, plates, or other supplies you'll need. We don't provide or clean up party supplies, so please plan accordingly.
👕 What to Wear?
Dress comfy! Keep your nails trimmed, tie back long hair, skip the jewelry, and wear clothes you don't mind getting a little clay on.
💔 What If Something Breaks?
We handle every piece with care, but ceramics can be unpredictable. Occasionally, pieces crack or don't survive the firing process.
💸 Refunds?
Full refunds are available if you cancel at least 48 hours in advance.
📦 When Do I Pick Up My Work?
Finished pieces are typically ready 2–4 weeks after your class. Your instructor will provide pickup instructions, and reminder cards are given at the end of class.
