🍂 Celebrate the magic of Mabon and the Autumn Equinox with an afternoon of seasonal crafting, folklore and intention at The Zen Shop in Oshawa.⚖️ As the Sun reaches the Autumn Equinox, day and night come into balance and we arrive at Mabon, the Second Harvest on the Wheel of the Year. It is a season of gratitude, abundance, reflection and preparation as we honour what has grown and begin our journey into the darker half of the year.
🌾 Join High Priestess Cynthia Calder for a relaxed and creative Mabon Crafting Circle, where we’ll weave traditional harvest symbolism, natural materials and magical intention into three beautiful seasonal projects.
✨ Corn Dollies – Discover the history and folklore surrounding this traditional harvest craft while creating your own corn dolly to honour the spirit and abundance of the harvest.
☀️ Seasonal Sun Catchers – Capture a little of the waning sunlight with a beautiful seasonal creation incorporating dried citrus, bay and cinnamon.
🕯️ Magical Candle Dressing – Learn how herbs and intention can be incorporated into candle magic as you create a specially dressed candle focused on the energies of protection and gratitude for the season ahead.
📖 Along the way, High Priestess Cynthia Calder will share the folklore, symbolism and magical traditions associated with Mabon, the harvest and the hearth, making this more than simply a crafting workshop. It’s an opportunity to slow down, connect with the turning Wheel of the Year, and create meaningful pieces you can take home and incorporate into your own seasonal celebrations and spiritual practice.
🍁 Whether you already celebrate the Pagan Sabbats, are beginning to explore witchcraft and earth-based spirituality, or simply love meaningful seasonal crafting, no previous experience is necessary and everyone is welcome.
