About this Event
What happens when architectural coatings fail, and how can designers and specifiers prevent costly problems?
Architectural powder coatings are a highly visible part of the built environment. When finishes peel, fade or deteriorate, the effects can be difficult and expensive to put right.
Join Jan Lukaszewski of QUALICOAT UK & Ireland for a practical discussion exploring the causes and consequences of powder coating failures.
The talk will cover:
• Common causes of coating failure.
• Implications for building appearance, performance and maintenance.
• How effective specification and quality control can reduce risk.
• The role of QUALICOAT Specifications in supporting standards for architectural powder-coated aluminium.
Drawing on extensive experience in metallurgy and failure analysis, Jan will offer insights for architects, façade consultants, specifiers and others involved in the design and delivery of building envelopes.

Jan Lukaszewski is Secretariat of QUALICOAT UK & Ireland, with a background in metallurgy, manufacturing and technical management. He has extensive experience in material failure analysis and has spent the past ten years supporting standards and best practice in architectural powder coating.
