About this Event
Plantie Mame Presents: LUMINARY — A Crafty Growth Lab
October 30 • 6–8 PM
Illuminating the Fall as Daylight Saving Time Ends
A Fundraiser for NAMI Philadelphia
Crafting supplies provided and BYO collage items; $20 registration - proceeds will support NAMI Philadelphia’s mental‑health programs.
As daylight saving time winds down and the evenings arrive earlier, join Plantie Mame — the Diva of Dirt — for a radiant autumn night designed to brighten spirits, spark creativity, and support our community through the seasonal shift.
This special Growth Lab proudly raises funds for NAMI Philadelphia, supporting mental‑health advocacy, education, and resources for individuals and families across the city. Together, we’ll craft, share plants, and uplift one another as we move into the darker months.
🌿 Event Timeline
6:00–6:15 PM — Welcome & Warm Glow Gathering
Arrive, settle in, and enjoy a cozy fall welcome. Plantie Mame opens the evening with reflections on seasonal transitions, mental‑health awareness, and the importance of creating light — literal and emotional — as the days grow shorter.
6:15–6:30 PM — Plant Swap & Community Connection
Bring a healthy, pest‑free plant or cutting to share. Swap stories, swap plants, and build community. If you don't have a plant to swap. you can still take home a cutting! Every exchange is a reminder that nurturing something living helps nurture your own well‑being. Plants teach us that growth continues quietly in low light — and so do we.
6:30–7:45 PM — Luminary Crafting Session
Create your own Luminary: a decorated tealight holder, with plantie embellishments, and uplifting messages. These handmade light holders become tiny beacons to carry into the winter.
7:45–8:00 PM — Closing Glow & Community Light-Up
Share our Luminaries, sending everyone home with warmth, connection, and a handcrafted spark of light for the season ahead — and shared gratitude for supporting NAMI Philadelphia’s mission.
