About this Event

Join Karen Davidov and Maria Nevelson, Director of The Louise Nevelson Foundation, for an intimate conversation about her grandmother's life, art, jewelry and iconic style. Maria will share never before seen images of Louise Nevelson at work and show us pieces from her collection, including Nevelson's important sculptural jewelry designs and work by Sam Kramer and Millicent Rogers.

Marie Isak Nevelson

Founder of the non-profit Louise Nevelson Foundation and Nevelson LLC design and art consulting, Maria Isak Nevelson has committed her life to working and volunteering in the Arts.

Maria graduated George Washington University with a BA in Art History. She chaired the board for Nexus Foundation for Today’s Art, before establishing the Louise Nevelson Foundation in 2005. In her role as Executive Director, she collaborates on projects supporting their mission to champion the art and life of her grandmother-- increasing access to information, preserving the art through the Catalogue Raisonne, and sharing fresh insights through the Oral History program.

Maria’s design and art consulting draws on her experience as a senior living interior designer, jewelry designer and sculptor. Nevelson LLC provides provenance research to Christie’s and Sotheby’s auction houses and Louise Nevelson collectors, as well as assisting executors selling artworks in estate collections.

Karen Davidov

An independent art and design producer with experience working in libraries as a researcher, designer, and public art consultant, Karen pursued her passion for jewelry and jewelry research as a dealer of 20th Century Decorative Arts for many years. The Jewelry Library is an extension of her work with librarians and curators. Founded in 2018, TJL hosts a wide range of exhibitions, talks, and events all across the jewelry-spectrum, collaborating with both contemporary and vintage gallerists, artists, and collectors, as well as storytellers, historians, makers, and wearers.

NYCJW25: November 17 – 23, 2025

Each November, NYC Jewelry Week proudly presents ‘The Week,’ a 7-day celebration dedicated to the art of jewelry. This annual festival invites a global audience to explore the world of jewelry through a dynamic mix of in-person and virtual experiences, spanning New York City and beyond. Our hybrid program features virtual programs streamed on YouTube alongside immersive on-site activities.

In-person, NYC Jewelry Week brings together leading figures in the jewelry industry to curate extraordinary experiences, including exhibitions, exclusive shopping opportunities, and retail collaborations. Attendees can also participate in insightful panel discussions that explore trends, challenges, and innovations in the field. Each event creates memorable jewelry moments that celebrate the creativity and craftsmanship of the industry.

Committed to inclusivity, many of our programs are free and open to the public. NYC Jewelry Week seeks to reshape how people view jewelry by inviting everyone to appreciate the artistry behind the scenes. Join us in celebrating the transformative power of jewelry and experience the beauty and innovation that define our community.

We look forward to welcoming you to NYCJW25!
