About this Event
Our November Acu Free Clinics— Sponsored by YOU!!
November is a perfect month for gratitude, giving and giving back, and this month, we are using our donated funds for giving back to our communities.
Your gifts at Long Beach Gives made these clinics possible. Thank you. 💛
The timing matters, too. On November 7, we enter Li Dong, the Start of Winter in the Solar Term Calendar.
In Chinese medicine, winter belongs to the Water element and the Kidneys, which are considered the source of our deepest reserves. This is the season to slow down, turn inward, and conserve energy.
But, we usually have other plans. Between holiday travel, hosting, and year-end deadlines, many of us spend the most energy just as the season asks us to store it. That makes this a great time for acupuncture.
Our Li Dong treatments focus on:
✦ Rest: helping your body and mind settle
✦ Sleep: calming the restless mind that can keep you up at night
✦ Warmth: moving qi and blood to ease cold, stiff muscles and joints
✦ Low back and knees: caring for areas traditionally linked to the Kidneys
✦ Protection: strengthening wei qi, your body’s defensive energy, as the weather cools
✦ Reserves: replenishing what a long year has taken out of you
