About this Event
Join NYCOBA NOMA for Building Community, a hybrid event exploring how architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) professionals can make a meaningful impact in justice-impacted communities. This session introduces a broader initiative focused on mentorship, exposure, and access to the AEC industry for at-risk youth, particularly teenagers, creating pathways to career exploration and long-term engagement.
Through a moderated panel discussion, hear from Patrick Stephens, Rhamgurav Robinson, and a teen leader in the program as they share personal experiences, barriers to entry, and opportunities for design professionals to actively support these communities. Attendees will engage in dialogue, share ideas for programming, and learn ways to contribute to equitable access in the built environment.
