Let's be honest... the uniform comes off, the experience doesn't.
Veterans and civilians are invited to a candid community conversation about the transition back into civilian life—and what it means to reconnect with people, purpose, and community after the uniform comes off.
We’ll talk about the things that can be difficult to explain: leaving behind a culture and community, navigating a different pace of life, translating military experiences into civilian spaces, rebuilding relationships, finding purpose, and figuring out where you belong next.
Come hear the funny stories, unexpected moments, hidden struggles, and real-life experiences as veterans get transparent and vulnerable about life after service.
Because understanding starts with a conversation.
Everyone is welcomed and encouraged to attend, ask questions, and listen to this much needed convo.

The Let's Get Social Raleigh Foundation (LGSR Foundation) advances social well-being through play, nature, and human connection. Through community-centered experiences, we create opportunities for adults to build meaningful relationships, foster belonging, and strengthen healthier, more connected communities.
