Making sourdough bread can be a fun activity whether you are living on the homestead or in the city! It's a great way to build friendships through a shared interest and food. Sourdough bread begins with a starter that you can obtain from either of the following ways: make from flour and water, purchase a commercial dried starter, or best of all obtain from a friend. Sourdough bread has been made for thousands of years beginning in ancient Egypt.
In this class we will learn sourdough basics, learn to prepare the starter, and prepare a sourdough recipe. This is a hands-on workshop.
