🧠 Lecture: "Clean Energy: Who Gets Rich Saving the Planet?"
🎤 Speaker: Matthew Roling
Join us for a timely and eye-opening evening as Matthew Roling unpacks one of the most urgent questions of our time: who actually benefits from the global transition to clean energy?
China is currently winning the race to dominate clean energy industries. That’s encouraging for the planet—but potentially devastating for the future of the U.S. economy. Roling will explain how we got here, what’s at stake for American workers and businesses, and how the U.S. can compete without abandoning core political beliefs across the ideological spectrum.
Matthew Roling is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and the founding Executive Director of the Abrams Climate Academy, which embeds graduate students in projects at the intersection of business and the energy transition. His experience spans M&A and restructuring advisory at PwC and AlixPartners, climate and sustainability advisory at KPMG, and a master’s degree from the Harvard Kennedy School. He serves on the board of the High-Speed Rail Alliance, has been published in TIME Magazine on energy and climate policy, and writes The Write-Down, a Substack guide to our warming planet.
