Using graphite powder and pencils Samantha Emmons will guide you to explore light and shade. You will learn how to build depth, contrast and atmosphere while rendering a variety of natural textures.

Who is your tutor:
Samantha Emmons is a Base resident artist who explores the relationship between nature and painting in her dynamic work. Her focus is the fluidity, transparency, reflection, tactility, organic ephemeral qualities which evoke the metamorphosis of life. Alongside being an artist, Sam teaches full time, completes commissions and creates are within the community.
