Working from observation, you’ll develop your ability to see and translate shape, structure, and texture while experimenting with layering, blending, and tonal contrast.

Who is your tutor:
Samantha Emmons is a Base resident artist who explores the relationship between nature and painting in her dynamic work. Her focus is the fluidity, transparency, reflection, tactility, organic ephemeral qualities which evoke the metamorphosis of life. Alongside being an artist, Sam teaches full time, completes commissions and creates within the community.
