This month's Specialty Class invites you to come and learn The Chase! The Chase is a punchy, choreographed vernacular solo jazz sequence originally created by Mickey (Frances) Jones and William Downes, members of the historic Lindy Hop performance troupe Whitey’s Lindy Hoppers.
Danced in both partnered Lindy Hop and solo jazz, The Chase uses classic jazz step Fall Off The Log as its source material, and famously features in Hellzapoppin' - the most iconic swing dance routine in history!
We’ll be teaching the basic footwork sprinkling in some cool variations and styling as we go, walking you through everything you need to know to seamlessly dance into and out of this super fun move.
Learn it once, then enjoy spending the rest of your Lindy Hop addiction playing with new and endless variations!
