Learn Mending at San Diego Craft Collective!

Join us on Friday, October 2nd for a fun, hands‑on mending session with sewist Joan Mathison. Joan will be in the studio sharing her extensive knowledge with anyone who stops by with an item in need of repair or a little creative refresh.

Bring a piece of clothing or a textile you’d like to mend or decorate. This free session is first come, first served—simply arrive, sign in, and wait your turn for guidance on your project. The studio will be open for you to work on your mending from 4–7pm. Note: Joan will not be mending your items. She will provide guidance.

This event takes place during our regular First Friday Open Studio. Please RSVP so we can plan materials and supplies, but remember: your place in line is secured when you arrive and sign in.

All children must be accompanied by an adult or guardian to participate.

ABOUT FIRST FRIDAYS AT SAN DIEGO CRAFT COLLECTIVE

On the first Friday of every month, the Arts District in Liberty Station is packed with ways to enjoy the best in life! Whether your visit includes a waterfront walk, a picturesque picnic, a bite & drink from one of the great restaurants or public market, or a bit of fun shopping, our doors will be open on First Friday from 5 - 7pm, ready to share craft with you, along with:

• A Free, Family-Friendly Craft for Kids (from 5-6pm)
• A Studio Tour
• Visit our Organic Garden
