Kumsitz is a show for two performers, an audience, and an accordion. It is a place where stories are born, told, sung, rapped, and spoken. Neta and Inbal combine all the languages they know — and all the skills they think they have — to create an evening around an imaginary campfire, hosting every narrative that wishes to visit, in whatever shape or form it chooses to take. Neta Weiner is a musician, actor, playwright, and performance maker living and working between Berlin, Jaffa, and Boston. He is the lead singer and co-founder of the multilingual Palestinian-Jewish hip-hop collective System Ali. Working at the intersection of Hebrew, Yiddish, Arabic, and English, his practice spans theatre, dance, television, performance, and music, exploring how language shapes identity, memory, belonging, and conflict. His award-winning work has been presented at festivals and theatres worldwide. Alongside his artistic practice, he teaches and leads workshops in theatre, writing, and performance at academic institutions, including Tufts University and Brandeis University.
