Our beautifully odd new mate is someone we’ll be seeing more of." - Steelhouse Festival / Planet Rock Formed in a skate park in Farnham circa 2015, Kit Trigg is a power rock trio that delivers life-affirming classic rock songs for the present day. Notwithstanding the dynamic vocals, poignant lyrics, choruses you can belt your heart out to or the turbo-charged rhythm section, it’s the quality of song-writing that sets this band apart. Oozing with cool charisma and positivity, they have made waves across the UK (and beyond!) over recent years, supporting the likes of Massive Wagons, These Wicked Rivers, Hayseed Dixie and The Virginmarys, buoyed by the momentum of critically acclaimed EP ‘Goin for Glory’.
Featuring 4 fresh cuts from Kit and the gang, the EP showcases a real depth and diversity, thematically rooted in optimism but with an edge that cuts through to the real world. With the help of producer Pete Hutchings (Royal Blood, Foals), the band have unlocked the ‘cheat code’ with title-track “Goin’ For Glory”, which picked up a Classic Rock ‘Track of the Week’ nomination and Planet Rock airplay thanks to its modern blues rock flair and anthemic chorus. Next up is another belter - “Light at the end of the Tunnel” - raw, pure and powerful, followed by the groovy guitar hero-inspired jam “Making It”. The EP winds up tenderly with bittersweet rock ballad “Grow With The Flow", a song dedicated to the beloved late skateboarder Will Glover, as the listener completes their journey through the full spectrum of rock and emotion.
