About this Event
Join Govind Das, who has been leading Kirtan for 25+ years, for an uplifting, heart-opening journey of mantra, music, unity and devotion. He is so excited to stop at Buddha Bella in Phoenix on his Arizona Kirtan Tour and share an evening of sacred song and community.
Rooted in the ancient tradition of bhakti yoga, Kirtan weaves sacred sound and prayer into a joyful expression of the heart. Literally meaning “to praise,” this jewel of a spiritual practice invites us to quiet the mind, awaken love, and experience the beauty of voices rising together.
Come sing, dance, enjoy the warmth of mantra and spiritual community. Whether you are new to chanting or have been singing for years, you are welcome just as you are. No special clothes, yoga mat, or musical experience needed—simply bring yourself and an open heart.
Bio for Govind Das
For more than 25 years, Govind Das has been sharing the practice of kirtan and the heart-centered teachings of Bhakti Yoga. With warmth, sincerity, and a deep love for the path, he invites others to experience chanting as a way to return to the heart and nurture an intimate connection with our inner self, the Divine, and one another.
At the center of his offerings is a simple intention: to create space for people to come as they are, lift their voices, and remember the love that connects us. He approaches this ancient practice with reverence and gratitude, recognizing its power to bring us into presence, soften our sense of separation, and cultivate compassion in everyday life.
Govind Das leads kirtan, Bhakti Yoga workshops, retreats presents at international festivals and tours around the world. His album Lunar Mantras spent many weeks at No. 2 on the iTunes World Music chart.
