KIMYA DAWSON and BLVCK HIPPIE celebrate IT STARTS WITH ANGER book.

Come celebrate the release of James Spooner's new book It Starts with Anger, a graphic memoir detailing the authors punk years as a Black Punk in New York City leading to the making of the Afro-Punk documentary and festival and all the reasons his DIY values compelled him to leave Afro-Punk behind just as it was begining to blow up.
Live sets with Kimya Dawson and Blvck Hippie along with a little discussion from James Spooner himself. He will be on hand signing and selling books.
This event is co-presented by Short Run Comix Fest and Sankofa Film society.
