What could become possible if you partnered with others to build a more sustainable future?
Kindred LCR and the University of Liverpool's JUST Centre are providing a space and platform for the first of three sessions bringing together folks interested in sustainability from across the city region.
How can people, communities, creatives and organisations collaborate to respond effectively to the climate crisis?
We want to work collectively and collaboratively with the people in the room to shape what can happen as the sessions unfold. This is an opportunity to steer something with backing behind it: what gets discussed, what gets prioritised is open and on the journey we hope to support people to build relationships and connections.
We won't fix the topic or set the agenda. We'll support those who attend to do that. This first session is for working out, together, what people want and need.
What to expect
- A strategic, informal space for shaping direction, not sitting through presentations
- A real say in what these sessions go on to support
- A chance to connect with others working collaboratively on sustainability across the region
This is the first of three linked sessions over the next year which will be hosted around the city region. The next events are provisionally planned to be hosted in St Helens and Bootle. The same group coming back for all three means what you help shape here what actually gets followed through.
Good to know
- This event is free, but spaces are limited to keep the room workable. Please only book if you can attend.
- Catering is veggie/vegan. Bring a reusable container for leftovers and a refillable water bottle if you have one.
- Where you can, please travel sustainably to the session. Joy is located just a five minute walk from Hamilton Square station.
- This is a relaxed, conversation-first format rather than a programme of talks. Please come ready to talk to people you don't already know.
