Jennie Egerdie presents Frog and Toad Make History [A Parody]: Friends Doing Their Best Through the Ages
In conversation with Hayley DeRoche and Josh Gondelman
From the author of Frog and Toad Are Doing Their Best and Oh, Bother: Winnie-The-Pooh Is Befuddled, Too, Jennie Egerdie returns to Greenlight with a new comedic reimagining: Frog and Toad Make History [A Parody]. With tender-hearted humor, Egerdie transports us away from the chaotic present day, as she posits how the two classic characters would react to moments throughout history. Together, they arrive just a little too late to take in the sights of the Roman Empire. And of course Toad panics during the Salem Witch Trials, spotting witchcraft everywhere. Through these stories, it becomes clear the key to getting by is approaching each new day with warmth, kindness, just a little bit of silliness, and—of course—having a best friend at your side. Comedian Hayley DeRoche (Dress Your Baby in Sage and Taupe) joins Egerdie for a discussion moderated by comedian and Emmy award winning writer Josh Gondelman (Nice Try), before an audience Q&A and signing.
