Introduction to Sound Therapy A full-day workshop for anyone curious about sound therapy. Whether you're weighing up training, or you simply want to play the instruments.
About this Event

Join me at Seven Sisters Sanctuary for a full day of sound exploration for anyone curious about sound therapy.

Whether that curiosity is "I think I want to train in this" or "I just want to play a gong without committing to a whole diploma to find out if I even like it."

With only 8 spaces you'll receive plenty of hands on time to explore and have fun with a wide variety of instruments including:

Crystal singing bowls, planetary and wind gongs, monochord, tongue drum, deep ocean drum, tubular chimes, bufalo drum, Himalayan singing bowls, wah wah pipes, rain stick, sound FX & loop station.

This experience is open to everyone, whether you are completely new or already have some experience and would like to delve deeper into the world of therapeutic sound.

Wow! Words feel inadequate to describe my experience - Michelle - AKA Mind Like Water - took us through the most thoughtful, captivating and inspiring day retreat which was a journey down the rabbit hole of sound. Michelle's teaching style has this gentle but powerful quality to it, she speaks of science, ancient wisdom and her own unique experiences but ultimately leads you back to yourself, your body, your intuition. The space is so beautiful, the curation of people was perfect, I honestly came out with stars in my eyes! And of course took very little content despite my intention to do so - you know it's been magical when you have no photos to prove it! Still astounded and riding the wave of inspiration days later.. thank you Michelle! ** Rosey 29.10.26

The day includes:

  • A grounded introduction to what sound therapy is and why it affects our mental, physical and emotional states.
  • A brief look at Cymatics: watch how vibrations creates beautiful geometric patterns in real time.
  • Hands-on instrument time: learn playing techniques and enjoy space to explore a wide variety of unique instruments, yourself, and as a group.
  • Personal practice, how to incorporate a sound practice into your daily life as a meditation tool or simply a way to alleviate stress, clear your mind and introduce more play and creativity into your life.
  • A look at the different paths into this work professionally, sound bath facilitator, sound therapist, gong practitioner + guidance on how to choose instruments that resonate with you and work together harmonically.
  • A full 60-minute sound meditation, guided by Michelle
  • A closing circle to reflect and ask questions
  • Introduction to Sound Therapy Ebook
  • Light lunch, snacks and teas

Thank you very much for Saturday's workshop. You held the space beautifully for an intimate and inclusive exploration of sound, both as a healing modality and as a creative outlet. I loved being with a group of women who all showed up authentically to give themselves (and their inner children) care in this way. I was inspired by your passion and how much knowledge and information you wanted to impart. I also felt that you paced the day really well, flowing from information sharing into experiential and, finally, relaxation and integration! Olivia 26.10.26
