Discover the ancient art of inkle weaving in this hands-on introductory class. Inkle looms produce sturdy, narrow woven bands perfect for straps, trims, belts, and embellishments, and this portable little loom is one of the most approachable ways to start weaving.
In this class, you'll learn the basics of an inkle loom, how to warp, color work, and reading/writing a pattern.
No experience necessary, just curiosity and a willingness to get your hands on some yarn. Class size is limited to ensure plenty of one-on-one guidance.
Perfect for fiber lovers looking to add a new skill to their toolkit, or anyone who's been eyeing those colorful woven bands and wondering how they're made.
Skill level:
- Beginner

Participants will need to provide:
- 2 skeins of similar weight, in complimentary colored acrylic or cotton yarn.
- You can bring other fibers, however, acrylic or cotton would be easiest for beginners.

- Shuttle/Beater (if available and/or preferred)
- Instruction booklet for your particular loom (if available)
Instructor will provide:
- Twine: for making heddles
- Craft sticks: for the header
- Loaner shuttle/beater: for those who do not already have one
- Handouts
