About this Event
Through a series of hands-on workshops, you will explore a range of accessible printmaking techniques, including monoprint, drypoint, collograph and chine-collé.
The course places an emphasis on experimentation, mark-making and creative exploration. You will learn how to prepare and print from a variety of printing surfaces, handle specialist papers, and use an etching press safely and confidently. As your skills develop, you will experiment with layering techniques to create rich, expressive and multi-layered prints.
By the end of the course, you will have produced a small portfolio of original prints and gained a solid introduction to a variety of printmaking techniques.
Sessions will be relaxed, supportive and designed to encourage curiosity, creativity and enjoyment of the making process. No previous experience is necessary. Whether you are completely new to printmaking or simply looking to explore your creative side, this course offers a welcoming environment in which to learn and experiment.
