CLASS DESCRIPTION:
Let’s get jamming on Bossa Nova and the music of Antonio Carlos Jobim.
This class will is for the student who wishes to learn(or improve) Bossa Nova the beautiful Bossa Nova Guitar. Taught by Tracy Kim, who has been teaching and playing this style for over 25 years.
Guitar will be the focus and used to for demonstrations. However, All Instruments are welcome to join in! PDFs with TABS will be emailed to students and will be used for Guitar and Ukulele. Standard notation is included for all other instruments.
Student will also receive a link to TRACY‘s custom interactive Play Along For each song!
This term is a special introduction to Bossa Nova- perfect for the beginner and a great review for the intermediate players. Each class is 60 minutes and will focus on a different song(or two) each week.
For each song, students will learn the melody, chords(lots of amazing chords!), and comping(accompaniment). As a bonus, Tracy will also discuss and teach chord melodies from this list of select songs.

- Also, Laufey’s “From the Start” To demonstrate how the Bossa Nova is used in popular songs today.
These songs have been hand selected by Tracy especially for the beginner/intermediate players.
