On August 26th 2023, my daughter Jazmin opened up to me about my half sister, Va'Lynncia Johnson, had sexually abused her when she was younger for years while I was workin go and going to school. I immediately called VaLynncia out in our sister group chats, then called the police, which launched an investigation. Jazmin has completed a year of trauma therapy, endured this ongoing investigation for over 3 years, and she's still waiting for justice. Despite the fact I helped raise Va'Lynncia, got her out of foster care, and picking her up and allowing her to move in with me before finding this out, she's never even bothered to apologize for all the pain she's caused to her niece. The only accountability she's faced thus far was about 2 weeks in jail in May of 2025, but since then she's been out on house arrest. Through many prayers and the grace of God, a trial date has been set that will hopefully end this chapter of our lives forever. It's rare for familial sexual abuse to be prosecuted, and it seems impossible to get a conviction in the state Oregon, but "Faith does not make things easy, it makes them possible." Luke 1:37. Sexual abuse crimes are more common than most people would like to talk about, which is why I'm asking you to come to the court and support getting justice for Jazmin. However, if the nature of this trial is your harmful to your own traumatic experience, please show your support with a prayer in the comments. Thank you all, and God bless you.
