About this Event

Bishopbriggs Library: Inside Out

This initiative in association with the BetterBriggs community group has transformed an unloved, noisy space into a green, accessible sanctuary. It will offer storytelling, nature watching and rest – a peaceful corridor for residents and visitors, inspired by the community, for the community.

The workshop is a drop in about our new library garden space. Meet Katie and Mary who are the founders of Plant Up CIC. Please bring some ideas of your own, what would you like to see in your space. Refreshments will be provided.

Three Scottish Library Services in the 2025/26 Europe Challenge

Three Scottish libraries were selected to take part in the Europe Challenge 2025/26 – a cross-border initiative which offerered workshops, mentoring, peer exchange and funding.

Bishopbriggs Library was one of three Scottish libraries selected from over 300 applications across 26 different countries.

The initiative brings together residents, librarians, artists, activists, and civic groups to co-create local solutions with European relevance.

Our project is now looking to set up a gardening group and looking forward to to hosting events in our outdoor space.
