Chief Dr. Janice George is a hereditary chief, master weaver, educator, and trained museum curator from the Squamish Nation. Skwetsimeltxw Willard “Buddy” Joseph is a Squamish Nation Elder, master weaver, and co-founder of L’hen Awtxw Weaving House. Sam Seward’s ancestral name is Nekwimetstn. He belongs to two rich cultures, Snuneymexw and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh. Angela Paul carries the ancestral name Qwenot and is a Coast Salish weaver, mother, and grandmother with Sḵwx̱wú7mesh and Sts’ailes roots.
