IAHSS UK Chapter Education Summit

Join the IAHSS UK Chapter in Manchester on 1 October 2026 for our National Summit, bringing together professionals from healthcare, security and related sectors for a full day of learning, discussion, practical demonstrations and networking.

The Summit has been designed to look beyond traditional approaches to healthcare security and explore some of the challenges facing healthcare organisations today, with a strong focus on practical learning that delegates can take back into their own workplaces.

Throughout the day, our speakers and contributors will explore a range of topics including anticipatory risk and how expecting risk can influence practice, understanding the person behind the behaviour, mental capacity, searching patients with dignity, healthcare security technology and how we turn learning into meaningful change.

The programme includes interactive workshops, technology demonstrations and practical sessions alongside opportunities to meet our exhibitors and network with colleagues from across healthcare and security.

Whether you work in healthcare security, clinical services, patient safety, violence reduction, risk, governance, technology, policing or a related field, the Summit provides an opportunity to share experience, challenge thinking and learn from others working to make healthcare environments safer for patients, staff and visitors.

Registration and coffee will be available from 09:30, with the formal programme beginning at 09:45.

There will also be dedicated time throughout the day to meet fellow delegates, speakers, exhibitors and others working across healthcare safety and security.

Please bring photo ID with you on the day. You will be required to present this when signing into the event.

Free parking is available for delegates attending the Summit at either:

Grafton Street Multi Storey Car Park

or

Hathersage Road Multi Storey Car Park

To receive free parking, you must make a note of:

• The name of the car park you have used
• The floor on which you have parked

You will need to provide both details at registration when you arrive at the Summit so that your free parking can be processed.

Please make a note of these details before leaving the car park, as free parking cannot be processed at registration without the required information.
