China has arrived. India is developing rapidly, bringing hundreds of millions out of relative poverty as its charts its path towards ‘developed country’ status by 2047. Both, in their own distinct ways, signal that the global balance of power is shifting from the developed West as the world enters the ‘Asian Century’.
This K-Lecture will explore how Western governments, businesses and investors can understand, respond to and work with a dominant China and an emerging India in a changing international landscape.
Erik Solheim is a Fellow at the ICfS and a well-known global leader who served as Norwegian Minister of Environment and International Development, UN Environment Chief and Peace Negotiator, and Executive Director of UN Environment.
