Come and celebrate this Diwali with a special themed Hindi Cultural Playgroup! 🎆 Parents and babies are invited to dress in traditional Indian clothing, and there will be special books, songs and activities to celebrate the festival of lights! 🪔Hindi Cultural Playgroup is a free playgroup on the first Friday of each month for babies 0 to 3 years old, that celebrates Indian culture and provides exposure to Hindi language baby books, music and art resources. The group provides a friendly space for our babies to play, socialise and engage with Indian culture and for us parents/grandparents/caregivers to chat, support each other, and share Hindi language and cultural resources to help enrich our bubs' connections to language and culture.
Families of all backgrounds are welcome.
- Hindi storytime and songs at 10.15am
- Hindi children’s books and music are provided to explore, as well as toys.
- Pram access is at the rear of the building, via the entrance on Lodge Street
- Toilets are available with a baby change facility
- Street parking on St John's Road and surrounding streets
- Best bus routes are 470 or 469, or a short walk from Glebe Point Road (431, 433 and 370) or Parramatta Road near Sydney University.
This is a non-profit community initiative organised by two local mums with half-Indian bubs.
