Step into a world of dragons, monsters and make-believe with Here Be Dragons - a joyful family theatre experience where everyone gets to join the adventure. When a village is overcome by “the Fret”, it’s up to the Monster Mender - a travelling vet with a very unusual collection of skills - to discover what’s really going on. Along the way, expect to meet a misunderstood dragon and uncover a story about kindness, courage and seeing things from a different perspective.
Blending storytelling, puppetry and playful interaction, Here Be Dragons invites you into a richly imagined world where monsters aren’t always scary and every creature has a story to tell. Children and adults alike are drawn into the adventure from the very beginning, sharing moments of laughter, curiosity and wonder.
But the story doesn’t end there. In the second half, you become part of the action, helping to create brand-new monster tales and adding you own ideas to the Monster Mender’s collection. Everyone gets the chance to become a Monster Mender themselves, discovering the joy of creating and sharing stories together.
Perfect for families and mixed-age audiences, Here Be Dragons is a warm, imaginative and inclusive experience that brings people together. It celebrates creativity, connection and the power of a good story.
Come along, meet a dragon, discover the monsters hiding in the shadows and join an adventure where everyone has a story to tell.
There will be free hot drinks, squash and biscuits in the interval.
