About the eventAs autumn deepens and the evenings grow darker, we gather around the fire for an evening of prayer, gratitude, offering and release. We are honoured to welcome Piotr of Be Your True Self to the Moksha community, sharing a beautiful ceremonial practice from the Andean tradition - the Despacho. A Despacho is a carefully created ceremonial offering. Rather than simply being something we observe, it is something we build together with intention. Layer by layer, natural and symbolic elements are placed into the offering. Each carries meaning, prayer or gratitude. As the Despacho takes form, we are invited to reflect upon our relationship with ourselves, our communities, the natural world and that which we consider sacred.
Traditionally, Despacho ceremonies can honour Pachamama, Mother Earth the Apus, or sacred mountains, the elements and the wider forces of life. At the heart of the practice is the Andean principle of ayni - reciprocity.
Ayni reminds us that life is a relationship of giving and receiving. We take nourishment from the Earth, receive warmth from the sun, water from the rain and support from the people and places around us. Ceremony creates an opportunity to pause and consciously give something back — even if what we offer is simply our gratitude, attention and prayer.
What to Expect
We will begin by arriving into the space together and taking time to become present before Piotr introduces the Despacho tradition and the meaning behind the ceremony. Together we will then begin creating a collective Despacho. You will have the opportunity to bring your own intentions into the offering, perhaps gratitude for something that has supported you, a prayer for yourself or someone you love, something you wish to invite into your life, or simply a heartfelt thank you to the Earth. There is nothing you need to prepare and no particular belief you need to hold. Your intention can be deeply spiritual or beautifully simple. As darkness falls, we will move outside and gather around the fire.
Fire has long been a symbol of transformation. Here we will create space to acknowledge what we have been carrying and consider what we are ready to put down as we move into a new season.
The completed Despacho will become part of this final act of ceremony, carrying the collective prayers, gratitude and intentions created throughout our time together. There will also be space for quiet reflection, connection and simply sitting together around the warmth of the fire. This isn't about needing to follow a particular spiritual path or belief system. We simply ask that you come with curiosity, respect and an open heart.

Piotr - Be Your True Self
Piotr's journey with the Medicine of the Inkas began through his own path of healing and transformation. Through that journey, he developed a relationship with practices that he now shares with others as a way of creating space for reflection, reconnection and personal transformation. His work includes Illumination, Energy Extraction, Soul Retrieval, Munay Ki Rites and Despacho Ceremonies.
Piotr's approach is gentle and heart-led, with an emphasis on helping people reconnect with themselves, restore balance and remember what is meaningful to them. For this gathering, Piotr will lead us through the Despacho and Fire Ceremony, sharing the practice and guiding the creation of our collective offering.
He will be supported throughout the evening by Azim & Sam from Moksha Holistic Therapies CIC, helping to hold a warm, welcoming community space for the ceremony.
