About this Event
Come and explore the fascinating world of botanicals through a guided, interactive tea tasting with DI Teas and Vedika from Toronto Tea Club.
This is more than a tasting. We’ll take a closer look at the botanicals that go into our cups - where they come from, how they have traditionally been used, what they contribute to a blend, and why certain ingredients work beautifully together.
You’ll get to explore 10+ botanicals, including 10 hero ingredients, through stories, aromas, conversation, brewing, and tasting.
What to expect:
The experience will unfold in three tasting rounds, with each round introducing a new group of botanicals before we brew and taste a different DI Teas blend.
🌿 Discover
We’ll introduce a selection of botanicals and share their origins, traditional uses, interesting stories, and the role they can play in a tea blend.
👃 Smell & Explore
You’ll have a chance to experience the botanicals beyond the cup - exploring their aromas, textures, and individual characteristics before seeing how they transform when brewed.
🫖 Brew & Taste
We’ll then brew one of the DI Teas blends together and taste it as a group, paying attention to its aroma, flavour, balance, and how the individual botanicals come together.
💬 Chat & Learn
There will be plenty of opportunity for conversation - from understanding complementary combinations and flavour profiles to discussing the do’s and don’ts of working with different botanicals and spices.
We’ll repeat this journey across three blends:
Roots & Petals
Mint & Methi
Moringa & Turmeric
Each blend offers a completely different way of experiencing botanicals, giving you the opportunity to see how individual ingredients can become something much more complex when thoughtfully combined.
Expect stories, aromas, brewing tips, curious conversations, and plenty of tea.
Most importantly, this is a space to slow down, get curious about what's in your cup, and discover that caffeine-free tea can be anything but boring.
3 guided tastings • 10+ botanicals • 10 hero ingredients • Interactive brewing & conversation
Come curious. Leave with a new appreciation for the botanicals hiding in plain sight.
