About this Event
Your park. Your voice. Your vision.
Join Akron Parks Collaborative and North Hill CDC for a community conversation about the future of Waters Park!
As a 2025 Akron Parks Challenge winner, Waters Park in Ward 2 will receive $150,000 in capital improvements to help transform this historic North Hill landmark into a more welcoming, accessible and vibrant gathering space.
Now, we need your input to help bring that vision to life.
At a special meeting open to the community on November 2, we'll discuss design ideas and gather feedback on several important elements of the park, including:
- Colors and identity: What colors best represent North Hill? Help shape the color palette for the playground, furnishings and other park features.
- Cultural representation: How can the park's design celebrate the diverse cultures, communities and histories of North Hill?
- Playground design: Share your thoughts on the proposed playground location and layout.
- Seating, art and gathering spaces: Explore ideas for public art, picnic areas and welcoming places to connect.
- Overlook and park entrances: Review early design concepts and share feedback on the overlook, pickleball area and park entry.
Hazel Tree Design Studio is also helping envision seating and public art elements that reflect the neighborhood's character and create inviting spaces for residents and visitors.
Whether you live in North Hill, regularly visit Waters Park or simply care about the future of our neighborhood, we encourage you to join the conversation.
