About this Event
HeARTs & Crafts: HOME
What does home feel like?
Join artist Maddie Harris for a creative workshop exploring the meaning of home through sensory and collaborative painting.
Home can mean different things to different people. It can bring up feelings, memories, colours, places and experiences that aren't always easy to put into words.
In this workshop, children and young people will be invited to explore their own feelings and ideas around home through creative expression.
Using sensory and collaborative painting, the session will also explore the experience of a child's first visit to EdShift, and how feelings can be expressed through art.
Be part of something bigger
HOME is the third workshop in EdShift's HeARTs & Crafts series, bringing together creative work for Through the Eyes of a Child, our exhibition at Dean Clough, Halifax, this November.
The exhibition will showcase artwork created by children and young people affected by domestic abuse, creating an opportunity for their perspectives and voices to be seen and heard.
Artwork created during this workshop will contribute to the final exhibition.
