Heartland CISMA Fall Member Showcase 2026
Join fellow land managers, contractors, biologists, and natural resource professionals for an afternoon of peer-to-peer learning, networking, and idea sharing.
The Fall Member Showcase is designed to highlight the experiences and accomplishments of Heartland CISMA members. Through short presentations and posters, attendees will learn about recent project successes, lessons learned, and innovative tools and approaches being used in invasive species management.
Unlike our annual workshop, this event focuses on sharing knowledge from within our membership and creating opportunities for discussion, collaboration, and professional connections.
What to Expect
- Short member presentations (~10 minutes)
- Poster and networking session
- Opportunities to connect with invasive species professionals from across the region
Why are we hosting a Member Showcase?
Because our membership asked for one! Over the last several years we have received one comment on our Annual Invasive Species Workshop survey, over and over again. "We want more networking time!"
This event is designed to highlight success and lessons learned from the membership in short, easily digestible presentations.
Then, we'll all enjoy a catered lunch during a networking and conversation hour. Not sure what to discuss? There will be an informal poster session to help spark conversations.
Other Details:
- We will be providing heavy appetizers for the networking and poster session. Please feel free to bring your lunch with you, you're welcome to eat it during the networking and poster session. We cannot guarantee that food provided will be gluten-free or allergen-free.
- If paying a registration fee will keep you from participating, either due to cost or organizational red tape, please contact Shannon to discuss volunteer Olivia at [email protected]. In exchange for some assistance with the event, we are happy to waive the registration fee for a small number of participants.
