About this Event
Join the HEART Collective for our first-ever Community Healing Night, an evening dedicated to reflection, creative expression, healing, and meaningful connection for LGBTQIA+ survivors of sexual and relationship violence and their allies.
We believe that community is a powerful pathway toward healing. This gathering is an opportunity to step away from the everyday, connect with others who believe in survivor solidarity, and explore what healing can look like—both individually and collectively.
What to Expect
Throughout the evening, we'll create opportunities for reflection, self-expression, and meaningful connection through a variety of interactive and community-centered experiences, including:
- Guided reflection: Opportunities to explore our experiences, recognize shared challenges, and reflect on what healing means to us.
- Community conversations: Intentional spaces to connect with others, share perspectives, and explore how we can better support survivors and prevent harm.
- Creative self-expression: Activities that encourage reflection, emotional expression, and personal healing through creativity.
- Collective healing and connection: Opportunities to build relationships, cultivate solidarity, and experience the power of coming together in community.
Come As You Are
There is no single way to experience harm, and there is no single path toward healing.
Whether you are a survivor, someone supporting a survivor, or an ally committed to building a community free from violence, we invite you to join us.
We recognize that conversations about sexual and relationship violence can bring up difficult emotions. Throughout the evening, we will prioritize compassion, mutual respect, and personal choice. You are welcome to participate, reflect, and engage in whatever capacity feels right for you. Sharing personal experiences is never required.
