About this Event
Harringay Victorian Eco Passivhaus is an in-person, guided tour for homewners, designers, trades people or professionals to see first hand (and hopefully be inspired!) and ask about natural materials and reuse, restoration, triple glazing, heat pumps, heat recovery ventilation, soalr panels and ditching gas. And saved 70% in energy!
Passivhaus is a German standard for buildings, seen on Channel 4's Grand Designs aimed at achieving really high levels of comfort and energy efficiency. Tens of thousands of projects have been delivered across the world from the UK and Europe to the USA and China, in all types of buildings.
Across the UK, progressive councils (including Haringey!) are delivering affordable housing to the Passivhaus standard, giving occupiers comfortable cheap to run homes.
Although mostly used in new buildings, it can be applied in retrofits, extensions and refurbishments - called EnerPHit.
This event is part of the Passivhaus Trust/IPHA series of Passivhaus Open Days across the world!
