About this Event
Bring your broken electronic appliances to UCL East Marshgate for a one-to-one consultation with the expert fixers from the UCL community and local repair shop Sarasfix. Book a slot to repair any small electrical item that you have at home, from laptops and headphones to portable radios, lamps, kettles, toasters, printers and more.
During the session, you will learn how to find faults, take apart and safely repair your own broken device with support from the UCL Repair Cafe volunteers. With a bit of help, you'll become empowered to fix your own device whilst learning about the importance of the Right to Repair. Come ready to learn!
To take part in the session, you will need to bring:
- A small electronic or electrical product in need of repair. Back up any data beforehand!
- The product's power supply and any accessory which might be linked to the problem.
Besides this activity, we are hosting a range of other drop-in repair activities at our Repair Cafe at the UCL Marshgate, Friday 13th November from 12:00-16:00 (Last entry 15:30).

About us: The Repair Cafe is an inter-departmental community event, sustained by expert volunteers from UCL Conservation, the Institute of Making, the Slade School of Fine Art, UCL Institute of Archaeology, Mechanical Engineering Researchers Society and Sustainable UCL.
