About this Event
Burgh House and Chamber Studio are delighted to announce a new three-year partnership funded by The Cosman Keller Art & Music Trust. Launching in October 2026, the residency programme brings together exceptional emerging chamber musicians, internationally renowned mentors and the work of artist Milein Cosman, celebrating the enduring connection between music, visual art and Hampstead's rich cultural heritage.
Selected string quartets and trios will take part in a series of residencies at Burgh House, where they will reunite with leading chamber musicians for masterclasses before sharing the results of their work with audiences in intimate evening performances.
Working with Sini Simonen, the final recital in the series is Trio Havisham.
Trio Havisham is an award-winning piano trio, praised for their thoughtful and balanced performances. Season highlights include Wigmore Hall, Conway Hall and Kettle’s Yard.
The trio won the Musicians’ Company Award at Wigmore Hall and are part of its five-year Young Artist Programme, as well as being selected as Kirckman Artists for 2024/25. They have performed at IMS Prussia Cove and the La Roque d’Anthéron International Piano Festival.
Their competition successes include 2nd Prize at the Concours International de Musique de Chambre de Lyon and prizes at the Schoenfeld International Chamber Music Competition.
The trio has a particular passion for rarely performed piano trios by Bohuslav Martinů, recording his ‘Cinq pièces brèves’ in 2023. They hold Junior Fellowships in Chamber Music at RNCM and Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
