About this Event
One day to learn. One day to play.
JAM at St James is back this February half-term. Spend Friday learning an instrument or vocals with musician trainers, then step up on Saturday and perform what you've learned for your friends and family.
Choose your instrument: trumpet, trombone, vocals, guitar, bass or piano.
Friday 19 February, 11am to 6pm: the workshop A full day of hands-on learning. You'll get to know your instrument, learn the basics and get ready for Saturday's performance.
Saturday 20 February, [time TBC]: the performance Take to the stage and share what you've made. Family and friends can come along for free.
Who it's for Everyone aged 8 and up: children, teenagers and adults. No experience needed, and there's nothing to bring. Just bring yourself.
Who's teaching JAM is led by Emmet O'Connor, music director at St James the Great, alongside musicians from the St James musical family.
Why JAM? It's not often you get to learn something new and see the result the very next day. JAM gives you that chance: try an instrument, hear yourself improve by the hour, and share the moment with the people who matter to you.
JAM at St James is what we do at St James the Great in Clapton. It's open to everyone, whatever your faith or none.
£5 covers both days.
