About this Event
This public roundtable talk features a Q&A with the Duncan of Jordanstone illustration students who have created artwork for an exhibition celebrating the tercentenary of Gulliver's Travels. The brief provided to the artists was in two parts: 1/ The students were asked to create an editorial illustration to an article about Gulliver's Travels @300, and 2/ They were split into groups and assigned one of the four books from the novel, illustrating a passage or idea based on their own personal reaction. There will be an opportunity to address questions to the artists, who will unpack their creative influences and techniques. The artwork will be viewable in the Central Library Level 2 exhibition space from Thursday 5th November to Saturday 14th November 2026. The roundtable discussion will be in Dundee Central Library and is open to the public. It will be chaired by Dr Keith Williams and Michael Kirkham (University of Dundee).
This event is part of Being Human Festival, the UK’s national festival of the humanities, taking place 5-14th November 2026.
