About this Event
The Wyverns (a local poetry group) will read from their latest booklet, Voyages in Swiftworld, and will discuss their creative processes and inspiration from Jonathan Swift’s work, a ‘crossroads’ in world literature from which so many influences radiate. There will also be audience Q&A and an open mic slot for aspiring poets, and an exhibition about Gulliver's Travels. The even will take place in ch of a new poetry Central library and is open to the public.
This event is part of Being Human Festival, the UK’s national festival of the humanities, taking place 5-14th November 2026. Led by the School of Advanced Study, University of London, in partnership with the Arts and Humanities Research Council and the British Academy.
