Whether you’re exploring your first purchase or hoping to buy within the next 0–6 months, learn how to assess your readiness, understand the costs, and compare options that fit your household.

- Down payments, deposits, closing costs, and the savings you may need beyond the purchase price.
- Mortgage pre-approval, affordability, and how lenders assess an application.
- First-time buyer programs and savings accounts, including eligibility considerations.
- Home-buying considerations for newcomers and recent permanent residents.
- Comparing GTA communities, property types, and commuting options to Toronto.
- Planning for a growing family and balancing space, location, and budget.
- The steps from preparing to buy through making an offer and closing.
- Building a practical action plan for the next 0–6 months.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
This workshop is especially relevant to GTA renters, newcomers and recent PR holders, growing families, and commuters to Toronto who are considering purchasing within six months.
If you have $60,000 or more saved, we’ll discuss how savings fit into the broader buying picture—including down payment, closing costs, and a financial cushion. You do not need $60,000 saved to attend, and savings alone do not determine mortgage eligibility.
