About this Event
Join author and fire service leader Luigi Davoli for the launch of his new book, The Weight of Command: What Great Chief Officers Understand About Leadership.
Leadership is about far more than rank, authority, or position. It is about earning trust, making difficult decisions, navigating organizational challenges, and accepting the responsibility that comes with leading others.
Drawing on nearly three decades of experience in the fire and emergency services, Luigi explores the qualities that define effective leadership, including competence, confidence, compassion, humility, integrity, courage, and service. Through personal experiences, practical insights, and lessons learned throughout his career, he challenges readers to reflect on their own leadership and consider how their decisions, actions, and values influence the people they lead.
Although rooted in the fire service, the lessons in The Weight of Command extend well beyond emergency services. Whether you are a chief officer, company officer, firefighter, business leader, manager, or aspiring leader, this book offers perspectives to help you build trust, strengthen relationships, navigate uncertainty, and lead with purpose.
Join us to celebrate the launch of The Weight of Command, hear about the inspiration behind the book, meet Luigi Davoli, and connect with others who share a passion for leadership and professional growth.
Great leadership is not defined by the authority you hold, but by how you carry the responsibility.
We look forward to celebrating this milestone with you!
