About this Event
Grounds for Comedy | Live Stand-Up in Wandsworth
An incredble bill for our final October show! Joshua Bethania, Stuart Laws and Esther Manito.
Joshua Bethania is an award-winning stand-up from India. He won So You Think You're Funny, was a BBC New Comedy Awards finalist in 2022, won King Gong at The Comedy Store and was a NATYS finalist. Also seen on BBC, Channel 4, OFTV and Comedy Central.
Stuart Laws is a British stand-up comedian. He's appeared on Off Menu and Films To Be Buried With, is a regular on BBC Radio, and has opened for James Acaster, Ed Gamble and Chloe Radcliffe. His most recent tour show picked up twelve four-star reviews and sold out both the Soho Theatre and its Edinburgh Fringe run. On TV he's performed stand-up for the BBC and acted in the BAFTA-winning Such Brave Girls, Patience and Play Time.
Esther Manito is an Essex-Lebanese comedian who's done Live at the Apollo, ITV's The Stand Up Sketch Show, Hypothetical on Dave and Comedy Central Live, and is a regular on Radio 4's News Quiz and BBC Scotland's Breaking The News. She won Best Show at Leicester Comedy Festival for #NotAllMen, her debut hour Crusade is on ITVX, and she's supported Jo Brand, Al Murray and Jason Manford.
Same idea as always: proper stand-up on your doorstep, in a room small enough that you can see the acts sweat. This autumn we're bringing comedians you've seen on telly and heard on your favourite podcasts to Wandsworth, alongside newer acts you'll be able to say you saw first. Bring your friends, bring your family, come alone - everyone is welcome!
Acts may be subject to change at short notice.
Doors at 7pm, comedy from 7.30pm, interval in the middle, finished by around 9.00pm(ish).
