About this Event
Few estates are as intrinsically linked to the story of Margaret River as Vasse Felix.
This special evening celebrates Western Australia’s founding wine estate, with a curated selection of wines that showcase the purity, power and precision of one of Australia’s most respected regions.
Established in 1967 by Dr Tom Cullity, Vasse Felix was the first vineyard planted in Margaret River, laying the foundations for what would become one of Australia’s most celebrated fine wine regions. From the outset, the estate was driven by a belief in site expression, maritime influence and thoughtful winemaking, principles that continue to define Vasse Felix today.
Set just kilometres from the Indian Ocean, Vasse Felix’s vineyards benefit from cooling sea breezes and ancient gravelly soils, producing wines of natural balance, freshness and restraint. The estate is best known for its world-class Cabernet Sauvignon and refined Chardonnay, alongside elegant expressions of Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc and blends that reflect Margaret River’s unique climate and terroir.
Under the stewardship of Chief Winemaker Virginia Willcock, Vasse Felix has become a benchmark for contemporary Australian winemaking, combining technical precision with a deep respect for the land. Her approach focuses on minimal intervention, site-driven decisions and an unwavering commitment to quality, resulting in wines that are expressive, age-worthy and distinctly regional.
The evening will offer a rare opportunity to explore Vasse Felix across a selection of wines that capture both the history and evolution of the estate. Guests will be guided through the wines, their vineyard origins and stylistic intent, gaining insight into how Vasse Felix continues to refine and elevate its expression of Margaret River year after year.
Paired with a seasonal tasting menu designed to complement the wines on show, this supper club invites guests to experience the harmony between thoughtful hospitality and one of Australia’s great wine estates. Expect wines defined by clarity and finesse, storytelling rooted in place, and an evening that celebrates the enduring influence of Vasse Felix on Australian fine wine.
